The Art of Great Bay committee is once more preparing for a gala show in November. This year we would like to include many more three-dimensional artworks. We're especially hoping to stage sculpture, glass, pottery, fabric art, jewelry, carvings and mixed media depicting the Great Bay AND its watershed through the flora, fauna and human activities of the area. The show will, of course, continue to include landscapes of the Bay, its tributaries and the surrounding environment.
As in the past, this is both a fund-raiser for the sponsoring Great Bay Stewards and an avenue for artists to display and sell their works. The Great Bay Stewards will take a 30% commission on all works sold. Entries in this show will be selected by the committee. Paintings, prints and photography will be limited to 2 submissions, no larger than 20" X 30", or small pieces totaling that size. There will be no predetermined limits on three-dimensional pieces. Applications will be mailed to artists who participated in last year's show, and are available as a PDF download here. There is a $10 non-refundable registration fee. All registrations must be submitted by October 1, 2008.
