After 22 years of service, our quarter-mile boardwalk is at the end of its life. We need your help to reach our fund raising goal and replace the boardwalk by 2016.  Visit here to find out about helping to support the replacement of our boardwalk.

Help Install a New Rain Garden!

Calling those who love to dig in the dirt, conservationists, and green thumbs.  The Great Bay Stewards are building a rain garden at the Woodman Museum at 182 Central Avenue in Dover on October 21th.The main goal will be to soak up rain water coming off the roof and keep it out of the municipal storm water drains that flow directly to the Cocheco river. There will be a digging shift from 10:30 a.m. to noon and a planting/clean up shift from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Bring some gloves for digging in the dirt and a favorite spade or shovel, otherwise we will have all the tools and equipment necessary to do the job.  We will also provide water and snacks.  The SOAK Great Bay project is funded by DES and EPA.  Please contact Laura Byergo if you plan to participate or if you have any questions (laura.byergo@greatbaystewards.org).

Partnership with ENH Power

The Great Bay Stewards are excited to announce a partnership with ENH Power, a Maine-based power company.  ENH will donate $5 to us for each new customer that designates the Stewards when signing up, then 2 percent of your supply bill when you sign up a second time.  Find out more here, and be sure to select the Stewards!
